2022 TRD Pro loud ass noise. i’ve taken it to the dealers, but they can’t reproduce it and I asked them even if you could reproduce it what would you do about it because it only makes the noise when you’re driving and they said basically the part would have to fail. I’m open to any ideas, it is drivetrain related, but it is not necessarily RPM related and it makes the sound all the way down to 1 mile an hour but as soon as I stop completely it goes away For an undetermined amount of time.
It is not relevant on how much power is going to the electric motor.
It’s is not relevant to how much boost I am making.
It is not relevant to the engine RPM‘s hints revving in Neutral.
It is only relevant to the drivetrain moving and sporadically.
You can see in the video. It’s not a consistent steady noise also it is coming from the outside of the truck. I rolled the windows down so y’all could see how loud it was, at the end of the video I have to pull over to stop so it goes away. It Almost sounds electronic as crazy as that sounds.

there is no video, but is it the artificial noise for a hybrid like my 2023 Sienna AWD has? so people can hear it when ICE isnt running?

That is crazy, there's no way that noise is intentional and it's weird the dealer couldn't replicate. Does it do it in reverse?

That’s insane. I’ve had two hybrid Tundras and neither have ever sounded anything like that. I’d be back on the phone with the service advisor or manager at your dealer and send them this video. If you can’t get progress from them, time for another dealer if accessible or Toyota corporate. Something clearly needs to be fixed here. If they fail to fix it and it does additional damage to the hybrid motor or drivetrain, it’s only going to put them on the hook for more money later. Good luck!
