I have a 2016 Tundra with a 4.6 liter V8. It got some bad gas and stalled and hadn’t started since. I also have a 2000 ford ranger that got the same gas. On both I removed the gas from the tanks and added fresh premium gas. The Ranger started. The Tundra did not. It cranks but no signs of combustion. I powered the fuel pump with a battery bypassing the control module and it showed signs of combustion but still wouldn’t start. I’m thinking maybe the control module is the problem but don’t understand how bad gas would have damaged it. I’m also thinking the inertia dampener but can’t find one.

    my main questions are:
    1) Does anyone know where the inertia dampener might be?
    2) can anyone tell me how to positively test the control module?
    3) Any other ideas on what may be causing this?

I also tried disconnecting the battery for 48 hours to see if some sort of reset would occur on the module.
Thanks in advance for any help.
