Seems my bumper sensors are too sensitive. They beep now and then for no reason. What can this be and can I desensitize them??
Secondly I drove it 3 miles today to get some items at Walmart. Left it in the parking lot for no more than 15 minutes. 95 degrees outside, When I got back in to go home the engine started ran 2-3 seconds and stalled. It did this 4 times before the 5th attempt it started fine and we drove home. No check engine light, nothing. It has 135,000 miles on the clock too. Any ideas? My thought is fuel pump. Thanks

Battery is good, new when I bought the Tundra a few months ago. Fuel is a week old.

Maybe a fuel filter needs replacing?

Did you have the battery load tested? I would plug in a scan tool to see if there are any pending codes. There have been other owners with similar issues who paid to have the fuel pump replaced as a best guess, then they had to go back and actually figure out what the issue was when the new fuel pump didn't solve the problem.

On the parking sensors, the little trim pieces that go around them can crack and let the sensors rotate a little bit, then they'll beep randomly.

I was thinking a fuel pressure problem? It didn't make a difference if I hit the pedal to rev it or if I let it try to idle, it still stalled. Restarted right away like normal. Weird. Maybe it didn't like being at Walmart. I know we don't like it there. Plugging it in today to see if there are any codes stored.

It could be an issue with the security system in the car and the chip in the key, so you'd want to be sure it happens with all the keys you have.

It could be an issue with the fuel pump control module.

It could be an issue with a stuck injector bleeding down your fuel pressure.

It could be a weak battery or a corroded body ground.

    Or maybe the fuel pump.

Does it start ok now? Or still hard starting?

If the check valve in the fuel system is bad you can lose fuel pressure when you shut it off. If it wont fire off right away on the first crank you can try cycling the key on and off for 3 seconds about 3-5 times before starting. If it fires immediately like it should you are losing fuel pressure.
