Going in Friday for new tires. Cooper Rugged Trek $260 or Falken Wildpeak At3w $234 are the two options they say they have in 275/65-18

I have had both, wildpeaks are better all around. Bump up a size to 275/70r18. It will fit with no issues.

I just. bought the Wildpeaks a couple months ago, and so far they have been great!! Just make sure they aren't trying to sell you the Falken Wildpeak
AT3W A , those are garbage from what the reviews say!!

I like my wildpeaks thus far. I haven’t driven them in snow yet.

I’ve had both. Wildpeaks 100%. Would not take another set of rugged trek if they were free.

Which one would be the AT3W A? It's hard to tell from their site. They have 3 models of the Wildpeak AT3W listed in the size I run.

I pulled the specs for each (directly from the Falken website) and it doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

    LT Load rating 2755lbs @ 50 PSI - Tire weight 63lbs - Diameter 32.8"
    LT Load rating 3195lbs @ 80 PSI - Tire weight 58lbs - Diameter 33.0"
    P Load rating 2833lbs @ 51 PSI - Tire weight 50lbs - Diameter 32.8"

No mention in the specs on the plys or type used. The heaviest tire has the lowest load rating and the lightest tire (P Series) has a load rating in the middle of the two LT tires. And the LT load range C tire weighs more than the LT Load range E tire. Does not compute in my admittedly addled brain...

I ended up going milder. Got the Cooper Discoverer Road+Trail AT. I had good results with the old version of them the AT3 but in the LT on my Pathfinder. I decided to not go aggressive as I drive 99% on the road. Snow is the only really reason I need a good tire. Got my 5100 installed at the same time. I just got home and haven't really got to see them. I'll see how I like it all tomorrow.

Not a fan of the rugged treks? Care to elaborate? I was looking hard at them when they came out but the lack of 3PMSF on all but one or two sizes turned me off of them. Maybe I’m glad I dodged a bullet..?

Yeah for years I had Cooper M&S tires for winter and Cooper HT in the summer on my Pathfinder. I just don't see the benefits of spending $80 twice a year to have them switched.

they look awesome but took a ton of weight to balance. They’re loud when they wear and they wore/cupped/chopped a lot even with rotations. They weren’t great in the snow but I possibly attribute that to 12.5” wide. I took them off after 20k miles I’d say and installed wild peaks. Much happier with the Falkens
