Hi Everyone, I'm a new member with a Gen 3 Tundra (Limited Crewmax with short bed). I noticed yesterday I have a convex dent that seems to be coming from something pushing OUT from inside the rear quarter panel. Anyways, I checked the truck bed, no damage there that would push outward and I checked the wheel well and all the covering are in tact (in case I ran something over that would have shot up under the quarter panel). See picture below, you can see how the paint is pushed out.

Has anyone seen anything like this? Thank you!!

Welcome to the forum! Just a heads up, I'm not seeing an attached photo. Certainly sounds like an odd scenario.

Looks to be caused by road debris. There are two more above it.

One plus one equals three here. Somethings says there is more to the story.

If there's no damage in the bed then you ran over something that shot up into the wheel well and did the damage. There is nothing in the wheel well that would have caused that damage.

Almost looks like it tore the metal…probably just the look of the paint damage.
