Function before sparkle.

It's fairly complex. The 6 speed unlocks the TC momentarily at every shift to smoothen things out plus it uses pulse width modulation vs a simple power to the converter.

With that said tuners can help with a program. If you want a physical switch, there are solutions like this (sample - I don't think that exact one will work with your truck). No personal experience though.

Yes they make a lock up kit for my truck. Do you know if it will increase wear on the trans.
