I see Lock'ErDown makes a console safe for trucks with the bench seat. I assume it goes in the lower console, under the seat? Anybody have one? How do you like it?

I currently have a small portable safe wedged in there and cabled to the seat bracket, but looking for something more "built-in".

If you plan to keep anything of value in it, I suggest you buy the best you can afford. Lockrdown seems to be good quality.

Cheap safes can be opened like a butter dish.

Yes, I'm aware of the need for a quality safe.

My current safe is adequate, but I was looking at the Lock'ErDown mainly to have something bolted down rather than cabled to the seat bracket.

With the bench seat, provided it goes in the space under the seat bottom, you gain a bit of, let's say camouflage. A lot of owners don't even know there's storage space under the seat bottom. With my current safe cabled to the seat track, even though it's fairly well hidden, the cable can be a giveaway that there's a safe there somewhere.

As far as I've found Lock'ErDown is the only company that makes a safe for bench seat Tundras.
