I tried to put her into a 4 Runner Pro but she doesnt like them. That was more for me than her though haha.

I can't speak first hand on that particular Mercedes but I do like the ride and handling of the newer Mercedes. Have you had her look at the Lexs SUV yet? At least you could have her in a Toyota owned SUV. I tried to get my wife in the 4 runner as well but no dice. I had a whole outlander build planned for it before she even saw it. Lol

All the reliability study that was done seem to rank Toyota/Lexus at the top or near to top. They also seem to place Mercedes near the bottom. I went through quite a bit of reading when we were shopping for a full size van. Mercedes was the first one I eliminated precisely because of reliability issues. We ended up getting a Nissan NV van.

When I was getting my Lexus airbags replaced under warranty, my courtesy driver was in a Lexus RX450. Holy crap that was a nice ride.

Can't go wrong on the Mercedes or Lexus. My wife currently has a 2013 Mercedes E350 sedan and absolutely loves it. We have been looking at the GLC SUV, but being relatively new model have decide to wait a year or two and pick up a CPO (certified pre owned) down the road that has a better warranty than new. FYI : if you do pick up a used Mercedes, purchase the Mercedes bumper to bumper warranty. We purchased these on the last two Mercedes we owned, and if the warranty isn't used by the time you sell the car, you get 100% refund. I am usually not a big extended warranty fan, but with 100% refund if not used, and a check mailed to us in 2 days after cancel, we did it and used the money to purchase the next one. Good luck with all. Another great thing on the Mercedes, you get a free loaner car for ANY service at the dealer, and the CPO car came with 3-4 services included.

I would take a Lexus over the Mercedes based on the maintenance costs alone. My buddy has a E63 AMG and absolutely loves it...but he also has 8 other cars or so and this is just one of his fun vehicles he drives.

I was going to LIKE that, but the Mercedes is the nicest driving vehicle IMO.

She might not want a 4Runner and I don't blame her...that thing is hideous....(fyi...i have a soft spot for 4Runner, have had 4 of them in the family)

How about 2017 GX460 Sport edition?

I own a GLC 300. It has a 9 speed transmission that keeps the turbo in the power. The fit, finish, ride is superb. Saying that, from my standpoint the Toyota Highlander is a smarter buy but the Mercedes is classier.

Your wife and mine are looking at that. It's nice, but too much maintenance. My wife also like the little Lexus CUV that has a turbo in it.

It better have ball washers for the price, to each their own. My wife loves her highlander.....and I feel a little better knowing she is driving it. Just don't buy it to keep up with the neighbors;)

I agree, Try GLC or GLE coupe. It's sexy, beautiful and realiable. If she doesn't like 4Runner, she will love GLC coupe.
