For starters here is my plan... Buy a 2019 or 2020 Platinum Tundra, take wheels off and put on 2017 TRD Pro wheels or get TRD offroad wheels and powdercoat them...

Question #1: Are all wheels I'm talking about aluminum?
Question #2: If so, if I can find wheels with sensors in them already, will they be compatible with the truck?
Question #3: If they do not come with sensors, can I use the sensors out of my platinum wheels in the new TRD wheels?

    Thanks Adam

You would have to look at the specs of the model you have, should say Alloy or AL, I dout they would be steel on an off road truck being steel bends easy and not to mention heavy, please don't look at my rims they came with the truck yes they are steel and chrome dipped, they came witb it. Lol You might be able to find that tire sensor questions answer by calling a Discount Tire, bit typically the sensors are kinda standardized I'm guessing, but.... We are talking about a Japanese car now, you might need tooth picks to get it out.

    1. Yes

    2. 2018+ tundras use a different tpms.

As long as you use the non steel wheel tpms for 2017 and past in any wheels

    3. Yes probably best option is for you to use your existing tpms in any wheels you change to

    1. Not sure what the wheels are made of I believe aluminum.
    2. Yes you can use different tpms sensors but most people reuse theres on there new wheels so might not find pro takeoffs with sensors still in them.
    3. Yes you can use the old sensors from your stock tires. This is a very common swap because when we buy aftermarket wheels instead of spending 100+ on new sensors they just use our old ones.

Others have answered here, but I'll reiterate.

    1. Yes
    2. 2018+ use a different sensor, so TRD pro wheels from 2017 won't use the same sensors as your 19+ (unless they came off an 18+).
    3. Yes (aluminum - to - aluminum)

I purchased 19 PRO rims and my original TPMS sensors from my SR5 TRD rims worked perfectly when I swapped them.

    Thank you!

Ok one more question i just thought of. Will the TPMS from the 2020 20” platinum wheels fit properly in the 18” trd wheels?
