1st off I know Tundra's are awesome and very reliable. Had a 2006 sr5 with 240,000 miles on it had to put some money in it after 210,000 miles but sold it and it's still running strong.

I was just wanted to ask the board if there are any major problem areas several owners have had that I can look into?

    Thanks any info will help!

Try a search and maybe add to the many topics already started on issues.

Do you have a list of known current issues you are concerned about?

No I currently have a Ford f-150 Lariat I paid $50k for and the check engine light has come on 4 times under 34,000 miles it also shutters and stalls at red lights and Ford wont do shit to fix it, so I am thinking of buying a Tundra and upgrading the interior and radio. I saw something where there was a somewhat common problem with some oil leaking. I should have bought another Tundra but the inside is so crappy sub par radio compared to new Ford and Dodge.

    1. Cam tower leak, which 99% of the time is a minor leak that doesn’t amount to anything.
    2. No transmission cooler on 2019+ which has been linked to 0 failures at this point.
    3. Some people have had trouble with door lock actuators.
    4. Doesn’t have the payload/towing capacity of the others.
