I have to share my ridiculous experience right now.

    • I got rear ended on 1/1/22. Of course the idiot didn't have insurance. What's even cooler is it wasn't his car. Some of you know my story, but the whole reason I ended up with my Tundra was that I got head head on by a drunk driver who didn't have insurance in August '21.
    • Got an estimate from dealer collision center in January. Bumper needed replaced and bed panel was slightly bowed on one side.
    • Tried to track the guy down, his parents, etc. to get them to pay. Couldn't track them down and finally filed a claim on my insurance early march.
    • Scheduled collision service at my local dealer and booked my appointment for 4/19
    • 4/19 - Truck is at the dealer was told should be done by Wednesday.
    • 4/20 - Call around noon to see if truck is done. Not done, bumper is in paint. They check to see if the bumper is done, and they say it should be done and put on that after noon.
    • 4/21 - Call again around noon and now they are missing a bracket. Part should be here Friday.
    • 4/22 - Call in the afternoon, now the part is still not there. Likely won't be there till 4/25
    • 4/25 - Call at noon, part wasn't on first delivery, but should be in the afternoon. I ask them to call me and let me know either way. *never gets call*
    • 4/26 - Call again to check on status, part not there, no one is sure why. I ask again to be updated prior to them leaving for the day. *never gets call*
    • 4/27 - Just talked again to them, part still not there and can't understand why. I ask to talk to the collision manager. He can't talk to me, but they are getting him my file. I ask the adjuster if this is ridiculous, he agrees but that's about it. I suggest calling around to other dealerships to find the bracket, which surprisingly had not been discussed to this point.
I know this is a 1st world problem, but I just want my truck back. All the while, none of this was my doing. I'm considering filing a law suit against the POS that hit me, but that's just more time, energy and money.

I bet your cervical spine is absolutely killing you right now, diminishing your quality of life and that of your domestic partner to say nothing of the deep impact the collision has had on the performance of your career.
