Call me weird, but I like to randomly plug a scanner into my vehicles from time to time, even if there aren’t any dash lights. I kinda regret doing it, because it came back with U0129, which is the brake system control module. Now I’m lost down a rabbit hole of threads and posts across four different forums trying to find someone with the same issue. I don’t have any warning lights, and my ABS and skid control all work fine. It’s middle of winter, so I would know if something were wrong. I do have a Tekonsha Prodigy P2 brake controller installed, but I haven’t had any issues with that either.

Am I chasing a ghost or is this a legit concern?

Damn! I’ve never seen or heard of such a code, but reading this article seems to suggest a comms issue or perhaps just a code in memory. It would seem like the latter if everything is working properly and there are no lights lit up on the dash. Seems next step would be to have someone scan it with a more advanced tool.
