    Pulled code P1566
    Is anyone familiar with this?
Cruise control and A/C seem fine, no blown fuses or anything
Cleared it and comes back right away251394273_10159955499824236_8151040808398076450_n.jpg

Faulty seatbelt pretensioner. May be time to clean the seatbelts?

Actually, I did clean them when I changed out my interior a few months ago, can that cause this code?

    Never heard of that...

In my researching of the code, yes, they can be the culprit. Wonder if you got water or whatever cleaning solution in the connectors and that has affected the pretentioner signal somehow or a connector isn't fully-seated or a pin is not fully connected inside the connector? The code has to do with a split-second voltage drop. Anyway, that's what I came up with so maybe going in and taking a look will reveal more. Let us know what you find out.

Edit: the fact that you were performing interior work recently lends itself to the credibility of it being the cause/related.

p1566 according to toyota is only set internally to the ECM. according to toyota ECM replacement is the only fix. that being said i would inspect any of the cruise control circuit wires before condemning an ecm

this code could also be a different code the scanner you have doesnt support for whatever reason.. i've seen that before.

Agreed. ECM's don't typically just go bad. And that would include the seat belt pretensioners since they are on that circuit.

    Updated:

It was the seat belt connections, which seemed tight and fit but checked again and reset all the codes, been a week and nothing so far!

    Thanks guys!
