    Hey all,

Apologize if this has been asked before, but I did some searching and didn't come up with anything, so here I am.

So, I found a good deal on some used Bilstein PRO suspension from a 2017 with about 40k on them (anybody have experience on longevity, these ones cannot be rebuilt I don't believe?) so I will be replacing my Bilstein 5100's at top setting.

While doing the swap, I would like to change from my 5100's to a 3/1 using the Pro suspension, requiring 1" worth of shims in the front, and will be doing a shackle in the rear.

The CB Pro kit comes with multiple things I am not sure I want/need, such as the steering links, bumper shims, etc. and I would prefer to keep my costs minimal, while making sure I maintain performance of the Pro suspension.

My question; The CB Pro kit does not mention the need for aftermarket UCA's. Does the steering kit somehow alleviate the need for aftermarket UCA's? I'm currently on 18" +18mm Methods, so I'm not worried about rubbing the UCA currently.

I assume that installing JBA UCA's for $550 would be a better performance increase than installing $380 CB Steering links?

Theoretically I should be able to get JB UCA for $550, CB PRO Shim w/bumpstop extn. for $120, BOSS Shackles w/bushing & carrier drop for $230 for a total of $900 vs. $815 for the CB kit, with the "build my own" kit providing better performance?

Am I missing something here? Is there a cheaper route that I'm not accounting for with my goal of 3/1 on 295/70-18's, using Pro suspension, while keeping CV angles and such within reason and allowing for proper alignment?

Any and all input is appreciated!
