I have a 2006 4x2 Double Cab. I hear this clinking sound coming from the rear every time I take off.

Taking off from a stop? Does it happen when switching from drive to reverse and back?

    Likely a driveshaft U-Joint.

It is the mid-shaft support bracket bearing or many call it the carrier bearing. I changed it and the middle U-Joint as well. The noise went away. I noticed some YouTube videos on the remove-and-replace. It talks about the orientation of the bracket bearing. I bought my carrier bearing from Oreilly's. The manufacture is Precision. I did not notice any forward pointing arrow on the bracket. Is the orientation that important? Which is forward and which is up or down (cup side or flat side)? Again, I have a 2006 4x2 SR5 Tundra.
