Any aftermarket ideas for climate knobs? Ive seen AJT do Tacoma ones, but yet to see any Tundra ones.

I did not like the silver knobs on my 2010 so I got another complete panel with black knobs without thinking about the rear window defogger. The one I got did not have the button so I R&Rd the knobs and nothing worked because they are potentiometers that have to be set exactly in the right place.

I ended up buying another panel with the defogger button.

I wish they had a silver to match the HU.
Black would be a good matching option for people that blacked out their IP.

From what I'm seeing, our Tundras require more than just changing the knobs, like the Tacoma owner's can. I have a 2010 and I'm seeing the plate needs to come off plus care must be taken to recalibrate the switches. If someone has done this to a 2nd gen, chime in, I'm liking those knobs but it ain't worth tearing into the dash to me. Their Site says they'll have a video about how to change the knobs on our Tundras pretty soon, I'm waiting on that. I e-mailed them asking when we could expect it.

I've always thought wood knobs, possibly ironwood, with a matching wood gear shift knob would be a cool upgrade, but I've never seen that offered.

See my post, #5 they don't just come off. I found out the hard way they are a PITA to R&R.

Let us know how install goes. If I don't have to remove the Front Clip of the truck to get 'em on, I'll get a set too. :pccoffee:

I've had the climate panel off. Fairly easy to do. Shouldn't be too difficult to swap the knobs out.

They come off no problem. Getting them back on and exactly where they belong in the settings is the issue.

I hope you have better luck than I did, I tried for three days before I gave up and bought another panel.

I was super interested in these until I realized they don’t work with dual zone climate for the 1794 and Platinum...bummed.

Guess I'm out too, my 2010 SR5 has Dual Zone. AJT sells a 4 knob kit though

I’m not really sure why they won’t work, maybe cause our knobs spin freely 360 degrees and others only spin from 9 o’clock to 3 o’clock...

They don't work with 1794 and others that have the automatic climate control since they're controlled by buttons in the knob. These only replace the solid one piece knobs, not the electric controls.

Is the 4x4 knob the same size as the climate control knobs?
