Hello and thank you for welcoming me to the Forum. I have a 2014 Tundra 1794 copper color that I bought in 2017 from a Toyota dealer here in Northern California. The question I have is, has anyone else experienced problems with the clear coat peeling away? My truck has a problem on the roof and Not sure what the next steps are. The truck has also had a Cilajet coating for protection. This seems like a short amount of time for the clear coat to have faded away. Is it worth writing to Toyota about this? I've already checked with my insurance company about a claim but they have denied that.

When was the coating applied, realistically coatings don't last for years on end, especially if they weren't maintained. This is the reason I've avoideded ceramic coating, I'll just use a protectant and add a wax layer on top multiple times a year to help protect against this type of thing.
