Driving in some really heavy rain today, first time for this baby truck and I get this "Clean Pre-Collision Sensor Error" message in my main console and then it moves to the right as an orange light stating the pre-collision is off. When the rain clear it was all gone.

Is this normal? Do I have to clean something? Just making sure

All normal. Hard for the sensors to read through the heavy rain/road spray.

Like @Cliffy34 said, it's normal. Frost, snow buildup, and even thick dust can do it as well. Depending on the grille you have it will either be the Toyota emblem in the grill that needs to be cleaned off or, if you have the heritage grille, it'll be the flat panel below the Toyota letters.
