Anyone in here ever done it on the management side ? I have a company talking to me about a job in New Delhi managing their equipment and personnel, its getting serious so I need some info about wages specifically.

No, I'm not saying who it is.

I know some guys in LA and MS that work overseas, but I believe its oilfield. I can ask them, but not sure if it pertains to your job title specifically.

Not likely but thanks. I've worked overseas before but in the skilled trades, not on the management side. All my management has been domestic.

Depends on the country. Working with Indians can be difficult.
We manage multiple teams over there. Will you relocate there ?

This. Talk about a bit of a culture shock.

Yes. They supply everything, either an apartment or a home.
In this case my wife would come along, not worried about culture shock or any of that. We are well traveled and not always in 5 star joints, our comfort level in/around other cultures is pretty high.
My direct reports would almost all be company employees though I'd imagine many of them are in fact Indians.

You manage multiple teams, doing what if you don't mind ?

software teams. Not so much the culture shock but the quality of the work or what they want you to believe as far as deliveries. My personal experience is that there is never a problem upfront even though they are plenty.
timelines get pushed like crazy even though we were told no issues along the process. My biggest issue is trust. This is across the board.
You can PM me for more info.

    Cleaning out my "Watched" threads.

Man am I glad I didn't take this job, actually, I didn't have quite what they were looking for. Grateful though, what a shit storm that place has become.
