20180702_133815.jpg Anybody here into cigars? This is my first cigar. Well since the one I stole from my stepdad when I was 13.

My father la opulencia is what is in the picture.

I am just learning about these. From what I understand Cuban cigars aren't what they used to be, all the quality cigar makers left and went to Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, and Honduras because if the US embargo on Cuba.

Could be, but the allure is still there I suppose. My palate is not refined enough for me to tell the difference.

Keep to yourself or with really really close friends.
Pricey, pretty mellow, not harsh at all. Almost like a Maduro.
    I think they are Dominican.

One of my all time favorites was Indian Tobac. Specifically the Fuerte Toro Maduro. I don't think they are made any more. They were made in Costa Rica or Honduras, I can't remember.
Y'all are a bad influence, now I want a cigar.

We went to this cigar club here in the Springs one night and there was this cat by the name of Jose Fuente. He would hand make and roll cigars all night and tell stories. He called them Fuego.

I think Fuego is a style, aren't they the ones that are fat in the middle like baby Huey smoked? I could be wrong I dont know.

The 50th anniversary Padron came out of a cabinet. Only 1000 cabinets were made 500 maduro and 500 natural. Retail on them was $5000 with the right to refill them 10 times at $2000 a refill. The serial number on the band represents the cabinet it came from. Very sophisticated set up to avoid counterfeits. We had four of these at the shop I have worked part time in for the past six years, sold three and the shop kept one. I have had several of these and they are wonderful, but will be strong. Because I am guessing you paid at least $40 which is retail, I would save this for an after dinner smoke with a nice pour of something brown to sip with it. The cigar on the left is ehh.... ok.

    enjoy

I dont know about that. I do know he called them Fuego, about 6-7 inches 1/2 inch thick all the way down. Rolled pretty tight, burned forever.

The 50th anniversary is actually a gift for a friend, he smokes cigars all the time so he should be able to handle it. It was actually about $25, so score I guess.
