That's crazy, you would think they would have an override switch on these trucks for the airbags like the Tacoma has.

That’s because there can only be one king in the mid size truck world and that the honorable Tacoma!! The Tacoma is often imitated, but never duplicated. Also, all Toyota trucks are made to go off-road. They don’t have to worry about airbags deploying or anything breaking or falling off! :benchpress::benchpress:

That first video... he goes over the tough obstacles, then basically comes to a stop in front of a rut, and then the airbags deploy. WHAT?!

I know a guy with a new Raptor that had airbags deploy when he hopped a low berm at the side of a well-traveled dirt road. No exterior damage, the "black box" corroborates his story about his driving when it happened. So far, Ford is blowing him off ('we haven't had any other similar complaints'), and his insurer won't pay because there was no "collision"; he was driving well within parameters for that truck. Design defect. Anyway, I think he's made 6 payments now for a new truck he's not driving....

I love tacomas and I'm thinking of buying the last year of the good motor they had I think it was 2015, I'm thinking of a 2015 TRD off-road which has a locker and A-trac. I hear gear hunting frustrations with the 2016+ models, crawl control seems cool and worth it at times but not a definite must have for me.
