So truck was wrecked. Parked for a year and a half. I fixed wrecked parts and started driving. It drove fine first day, then next day and ever since, about 1 month it has put itself it limp mode everytime i get in to the truck. I have a computer to read and erase so i normally just erase it. It’s the one about the secondary aif pump stuck off and closed. Any one else have these issues.

Fun Fact: Resetting the light after oil change can be quite difficult.

If it’s a Hard code you need to check that circuit if it was parked for a long time rodents could had ate the wires so just follow that trouble code

Why not install an AIP bypass? If you can rebuild a vehicle, I'd think you could handle the simple wiring required to make your own bypass system.

I've had mine on for 7 years and it works fine.

What codes are you pulling? I'm pulling P-2440 , which is bank 1 stuck open. I had my AIP'S replaced @ 62k. Coincidentally I'm going through it again @ 124k. In the beginning it would go into limp mode and I would disconnect the negative terminal, and it would go away for a good while. Now it's coming on after every start, no matter if I disconnected terminal or erased the code. The air pressure sensor is more than likely bad on bank 1, and that's why the code keeps coming back. At least that's what Hewitt Technologies is saying. Anyway I ordered Gen2 Bypass kit plus pressure sensor adapter and will install them when I travel back home from Charleston. If you do order kit get the updated Gen 2,

I think you gave yourself the answer. Replace the aip or do the bypass.
