Been reading about CEL issue and guessing some sensor, truck performs and runs fine. 150,000 on the clock, is it worth disconnecting the battery cable to re-set or just take it to a mechanic? I'm not a mechanic and don't work on my vehicles.

Could be something as simple as a bad gas cap.

disconnect battery and reset. If it comes back drive to a autozone or similar and they can scan for and codes. Report back with any codes.
