    Hi All,

So I have some health issues, bad shoulder and bad back. I asked AK Whatley at Chaos if it would be possible to create a tire carrier which uses a winch to lower the spare to the ground. They will be replacing the winch with a Bulldog/Warn this week to cut down on the noise. Awesome Thanks goes to AK Whatley and all the folks at Chaos Fab Shop in Winchester, VA. http://chaosfabshop.com/

It is cool, but I’m kinda wondering if you can manage the spare once it’s down if you need a winch to get it in position. Please don’t take this wrong, I’m just wondering. Seems like a hefty wad of money if you’re not able to manage it very well.

Again, I’m not being rude...I’m just interested

That little voice inside my head got to me again. I didn't intend to go this far with the rear bumper with the automated spare. I was just wanting a tire carrier...but then woke up the next day after we settled on everything and gave them a call back and said, "Hey, wouldn't this be cool...." Plus, I'd rather spend money on the Tundra vs surgery.

BA set up....I can see why @Eclipsed & Floating asked though. Would mounting the spare in the flat tires spot not put strain on your shoulder or is it minimal that way? Just curious :D

Tore my rotator cuff about a year ago and its finally getting better with physical therapy. However it will strain if I'm not careful. So with the tire I just have to take my time and not rush it and I hopefully won't reinjure it.

I'm also lazy, eat lots of pizza and don't exercise. However, just started on a diet and back to exercising 3 weeks ago...so I've got that going for me :)

I exercise and go to physical therapy, but this is my 3rd surgery and my knee belongs on an 80yo.

Even walking is better than not doing anything and changing eating habits is good too! Good on ya!
