truck just rolled over 100K . I was wondering which 5.7 engine I have so I can purchase the correct plugs? Owners manual refers to a couple of different choices. As always ,thanks for any help. Peace. D

I always went with the factory spark plugs on my Toyota vehicles. Check gap and install.

    Good question.

I believe the sticker inside your drivers door has the engine code on it. (At least my 2017 does)

Has your VIN#, manufacture date etc.

Edited: OK, I went out and checked the door sill sticker, it doesn't give the engine code, however it gives you the model code, which when you look up in the owners manual will tell you which engine is installed in that model. Example: my my model code is USK56L-CRTSGA, then looked up that code in the vehicle specs section in the back of the owners manual shows the engine code is 3UR-FBE.

I've got a few miles to go (@85K now). I'll most likely have my dealer do it. I always have done my own plugs but.....my Tundra will most likely be 12 years old. I've heard of broken and or seized plug issues. Not too sure I want to deal with that possibility at home. Dang it. Our motors are built so good..

My truck has 233,845 miles already. Haven't changed the plugs in the truck since 80 thousand miles. Works fine. Should I change them, if they are working fine ? hummmm ?

I hear ya Brother... me too
I'm at an age that I just don't want to my own service anymore.
I got an awesome dealer who only hires well experienced techs.

I'll have them change plugs when I'm there for a regular service call.
