6 inch procomp stage 1, and the ugliest rims on earth. Bought this way, there will be changes
I bought a 2014 tundra sr5 that came with a 6" procomp lift. I've decided to upgrade a little to an 8 inch readylift with the full length BILSTEIN coilovers.
My question is: is there much difference in the installation of the two lifts?, ie... cross member removal amount or tie rod shortening?

I'm debating on doing this myself or sub contracting this out as I don't have a lift but not afraid to do in it my driveway. First quote I got was $2000 + alignment. Seems kind of steep to me.

Any thoughts or ideas will help.

Can I ask how your tundra feels with the pro comp lift?
I bought mine with a 6” rough country lift & I don’t like how it drives /feels, too rough. Looking into pro comp because I’m a fan of how the rocky ridge trucks drive and handle.

Honestly what are you looking to gain. Not the 2 inch, but what else? Tire size?

If you already have the Procomp 6” lift then your crossmembers are already cut.

You should be able to do it on your driveway. Just find the Procomp installation guide and go in reverse. That’s how I was able to remove my BDS drop brackets in order to send them out to a shop to get welded.

Your ride quality is determined by your shocks, spring setup, and tire weight rating/psi. Take a picture of your entire setup. 35s are all E rated, they wont ride well

There was a crack where the diff mount is bolted to the rear bracket. It was squeaking like a mofo.

So I had 2 gussets added to provide more support.

All I can say is that any lift isn't going to ride like stock but that's not what I'm after. The procomp lift probably won't ride any better than the readylift. I just want to retain front turning radius, utilize a set of quality full length coil overs and hopefully get a better front end alignment to reduce front outter tread wear.

From what I have read, you need to find a coil over that will work with a procomp lift. Each coilover must be matched precisely. You must use a coilover that designed for a truck with a 6 inch lift. ICON makes a coil over for the 6 inch procomp lift but I figured I go 2 inches taller and wanted to retain stock steering radius. That is why I picked readylift. Readylift and bilstien designed this lift together. Thats why I picked it.
    Hope this helps.

Ah is the readylift 8 inch a full 8 drop on the bracket? Like someone else said ,it should be a really simple swap since your crossmember is cut
