Change Start Up Screen

Can you change the start up screen on the 2024s??

The speedo cluster changes from time to time but the infotainment screen does not,not quite sure as to which one you are referring.

 

Miss that feature we had to load a personal photo in the Gen3 Taco startup screen.

 

One thing I hate. Locally I don't run with Android Auto on. I don't pay for the Toyo subscription. So Toyo punishes me with 14" of you did not pay us ugly as a default.

I'm the opposite. I always use CarPlay, so I get the initial "Welcome...." screen then it changes to Google Maps in a few seconds. The satellite view is one of my favorite features. Like you, I refuse to pay for any subscriptions.

 

If they would just allow me to display a personal picture while playing nothing all would be well.

Is there a setting to make that the default app that shows up? Currently, mine defaults to the standard Toyota navigation display and I'd like mine to be like yours. Perhaps it's because my trial subs are still active and mine will act like yours when they expire...

 

I think if your phone is paired via bluetooth, or the USB cord, CarPlay should automatically connect and display the last app you were using. At least that's how mine works without any subscriptions.

On the rare occasion that I don't have my phone, the startup screen is the stupid solicitation to pay for navigation.

 

there is a option in the toyota menu that allow you to turn screen off which i have done if android auto is not in use.
