Center Console Latch died / please see pics

    - No spring tension

    - Appears to have no broken parts and like a new one in last pic.

    WTF am I missing? I hate being a dumbass…

    Check to see if the spring has any tension. If it has no tension (it shouldn’t move freely or spin) it slipped off the track / grove and you need to reseat it. If it has tension, it sure why but it seems like your latch is sitting too far back. Maybe the latching mechanism became unclipped and needs to be snapped back into the groove
