Has anyone ever installed the CBI classic bumper when also having the RCI skids ? The RCIs look to be slimmer in width than the CBI skids so I’m assuming it’ll work but worried about clearance. Thanks !

@threlfall has that bumper but I don't know what he has for skid plates if any. If he can get you pics of the bumper where it meets the skid plate mounting area, I have the RCI and I can get those pics for you.

I have the skids installed and a CBI bumper sitting in the garage. At this point just wondering if I’ll need some cutoff wheels on standby for the skid before I tear into the bumper install lol

Gotcha. Yeah I bet that if he can get you some good pics in that mounting area, that would help you alot. He is the only one that I know of with that bumper offhand because he just posted about lighting for it the other day. Is there anything in the instructions for it that shows that area?

no instructions. I’m hoping it fits because by looking at the CBI skids they have wings to the left and right Vs the RCI which goes straight back. So in theory the RCI should have more clearance than the CBi skids. In theory.

The answer is no it doesn’t fit without modification lol but a circular saw and a hand file took care of business. I’m glad I got the aluminum skid !!

Thanks for sharing. I am currently sourcing skids, sliders and a winch bumper and was asking this very question. I have RCI skids in the basket but need a bumper that allows access the winch so am looking at the CBI.

RCI now makes a bumper too. Could be an option
