In the process of repairing my stolen CAT Converter (not a Toyota) and talking to the shop people, I learned a few things about the exhaust system ...

Curious if Tundra has a resonator or flex pipe?

My other car with a recently stolen CAT has a flex pipe to dampen the vibration so the exhaust system & pipes have some room to move around (not being too stiff) and don't eventually fall off.
Flex pipe is a heavier piece of flexible pipe before the CAT.

With the CAT gone and the disconnect between pieces, the hanging flex pipe had some damage due to bouncing while driving ... they also cut very close to the edge of it and it's hard(er) to weld it and may need replacement.

Anyways, curious if Tundra has a flex pipe? My other car's flex pipe is very close to the engine and maybe hard to see if Tundra has one with the skid plates and all.

Also do we have resonator and where is it located? I have a factory dual TRD exhaust.

I need to get under the car to install a skid plate (see below) but thought it maybe easier to ask while watching TV instead of crawling under the car and inspect it myself. :D

btw, thanks to @Green Thunder he gave me a CAT Skid plate which I will be installing soon. It covers the leading CATs entirely and also covers the front of the trailing CATs so they can't cut it free.

Crawled under and checked my factory Dual-TRD exhaust.
I see total of 4 CATs and 2 Mufflers. Both sides of the dual exhaust are independent and no X pipe. 2 CATs and 1 muffler per side.

I don't see any other parts like a resonator unless it's part of the muffler. I found no flex-pipes either unless it's hidden deep inside or close to the exhaust manifold like my other car.
Maybe it has a resonator / muffler combo.
