Any recommendations? I have an '18 4x4 that had the passenger side cat, muffler, and O2 sensor cut out of it while I was work. Now it's in the shop waiting for parts that are on national back order for a month or longer.
Does anyone have experience with some guards? I've been looking but don't want to shell out $450.00-600.00 for a guard unless it's worth it. Thanks for any help!

Haven’t they been claiming this for the last severs weeks? I’ve been watching to see when they’ll hit the market, and getting a little tired of hanging on…. Looks like Valhalla might be the better option, as he actually has them.

Sorry that happened to you. It sucks big time. Going to be a long wait too. If you’re in the Houston area, there’s a place you can take it to get it fixed temporarily for cheap. PM me if you want.

You still need a rear plate.

I decided against the rear plate since the resonators do not contain precious metals.

The thieves don't know that but they can still cut the pipes if they wanted to cost you money. The "resonators" are still considered cats.

The plate actually covers the forward part of resonator.

You are 4wd so that does help. 2wd though is easily fair game, even with a rear plate.

If thieves want something bad enough they will hack through everything to get it. I just hope when the bastards look and see that plate say “f-it, too much work” and move on.

Backorder for a month or longer?
I'm on day 171 waiting for cats to come into my dealership.
Last weekend they told me maybe mid-June they will arrive.

I ordered @Classy63 Valhallah front and rear plates on 1/28/2022.
I've had the front plate for about a month, still waiting on the rear plate 3 months after ordering.

If you need a plate quickly, I'd look elsewhere..

No, I have observed this to not be true. I manage a post acute care center in armpit SE Portland, and vehicles around mine have been hit numerous times while the thieves have passed on mine.

They count on being able to move quickly, and these plates are something they can’t afford to try to work around.

    Valhalla plates are awesome.

My truck sits high enough to be an easy target, but has not been hit. Meanwhile, in the same lot, an F250, an older Tundra, a Hyundai have all been cut. The F250 twice now!!! (The moron refused to buy a plate after theft #1).

At this point you are making yourself a victim needlessly if you don’t get the plates.

    +Another vote for Valhalla

A official welcome for your first post. Order the Valhalla plate NOW, well worth the peace of mind. Good luck.
I ordered mine Dec 5, 2021 and received Feb 20th. Its a wait game from one guy doing his best. Great product.

For anyone in the greater Sacramento area, these guys just built up a cat guard for a 2nd gen Tundra . They will be building one up for me soon and they have done work to my 80 series Land Cruiser in the past. https://www.kitsuimetalworkllc.com/

Welp, I'm ordered up and ready for a trip to CA...I went with Valhalla as I feel their bends are stronger then seam-welds and "weak pull-up bars" on Cat Security...God's speed everyone!

Yes you have to remove the back 2 bolts of the skid and there are predrilled holes on the shield that line up with the other holes. The bolts will hold the rear of the skid and the front of the shield.

I've got the desert eagle, they cover the fronts and partially cover the backs, but it is good enough to make thieves move on.
