    Hi Fellas,
My cat on the passenger side definitely has some broken/loose catalyst media rattling around inside the converter. I don't have a check engine light as of yet. My question is should I be worried the broken catalyst is clogging/blocking the exhaust?

Has anyone encountered this situation? Given the cost of cats, aftermarket or Toyota, I'm tempted to let it rattle around until a CEL forces me to remove it. But I don't want to overheat the passengers cylinder head or burn any exhaust valves. Your thoughts? Thanks.

Honestly, I have no experience with cats like that, but if it were me, I'd remove cat, remove internals from cat, weld cat back up, and then reinstall to keep from blocking up flow.

Get some of them oxygen sensor extenders to keep the CEL away IF you don't have vehicle inspections in your area.

That's what I'd do for peace of mind, but it's your truck, and your call.

YMMV and I accept no liability for what you do in your own situation
