Passenger is perfect fit for me. Driver is slightly off and is loose in the tabs.

Interesting. Double checked mine last night and both fit like the original lenses

These look good...only comment I would have is if you could get rid of the surface mounted screws and use a knock-in pin with threads to screw down from the back side of the console. I was fortunate to get one of CN Designs latest revs last year or so...it's pretty damn clean.

Certainly possible. It wasn't the look I was going for with mine, since I have the AJT trim with black screws as well.

@RainMan_PNW, looking at your power folding mirror build, Great write up, and detailed install, I have a 2020 Tundra TRD PRO, why did you add wire to kick panels, is it possible, to wire up mirrors, to power folding tow mirrors switch, factory mirrors are adjustable and defrost, no BSM, or Puddle lights.

You have to run wires from the door to the kick panel to get power from the switch to the mirrors. In the 2014-2021, none of that wiring is preinstalled. The trucks that do have power-folding mirrors (Platinum and 1794) have an ECU inside of each door that actually sends the power to the mirror fold motors via a completely different setup (the switch is sending a signal to the ECU, not direct power). While running those two wires, I also added the power wire for the back-facing LED lights.

@RainMan_PNW, thank you, for your response, I also noticed, the wire color change, was that out of necessity, because I was hoping to run the same color wire throughout my install, I was able to get wiring and connectors from a Tundra in the junkyard, de-pinned and ready for installation now

No, I just used colors I had available. Since the 14-21 don’t have the right wiring, I went with something unique from anything else.

Ok now I’m ready to tackle it, the molex connector, had me re-thinking, but your write up was precisely what I needed, hopefully the re-pinning goes as planned, while following your instructions, I’m planning to order the mirrors, as powered, but you already know we’re not.

Sure thing. It wasn’t difficult other than just the tedium of getting everything fished and terminated.

Looking at your instructions, I decided to hit one of the many junkyard’s, here in Houston, Tx. found a tundra, actually 3, and cut wires and connectors, so I can plug in the correct male and female molex pieces, that reverse light, after adding it to your mirror plug, was a ground needed later.

No. It’s grounded inside the mirror to the other circuits

Thank you, into the mirror plug, I’m adding to my TRD pins 6+ 7+ 8- after adding reverse light pin to the boost mirror plug, then run those to the kick panel blue plug, starting on passenger side, working to driver side, and mirror switch

You mentioned adding 1 wire to the kick panel plug, because of non auto windows, my 20 has auto up/down front windows, will that make a difference @RainMan_PNW

I am assuming you are talking about this:
Do you have the factory power tailgate lock? If you do, then you will need to add the one “jumper” wire in that plug between the two connectors to pass ONE of the wires through the harness for the factory tailgate lock (the other two wires will already be in that tailgate lock harness). If you don’t have the factory power tailgate lock, then you just need to put the three wires from the door into the one side of the MJ1 connector, and the matching three wires into the other side.

Thank you, yes I do have the power tailgate lock, it works well with my leer topper, keyless entry latch, I’m absorbing all this information.

@RainMan_PNW, any ideas about Tundra OEM power folding tow mirrors, and would the wiring be the same, no puddles, no BSM.

I’ve not experienced the power folding OEM ones, but I did have the non-power fold ones on my 2008. They were hood mirrors.

As for wiring them up - no differences other than not running the back-up/puddle light wire.

@RainMan_PNW, thank you again, looks like Boost has a price increase, my order was under 1k, but now it’s a slightly higher.

Hey, any reason why you didn't color match the ones that came on the truck? I'm tempted to do in on my truck.

I did it with the tailgate handle on my 2008. The problem is that the plain black plastic is textured and that doesn’t come out great when painted. You can use a filling primer and prime/sand/prime/sand a bunch of coats (what I did on my 2008) but it’s tough to get it to come out perfectly smooth.

The handles that are painted start out smooth with the intent to be painted, so they tend to look better.

If you wanted to experiment with it, I would buy or get your hands on a rear door handle (no sensor so they are relatively cheap) and give it a test run.

Where are you planning on mounting the SP panel inside the truck? Obvious spot is the card holder, but I know you have the 3 slot there, so curious what you have in mind. I’m going to be getting one soon, but I’m not keen on moving my rear window switch back to the stock location.

My current plan is to use or modify the design that @needsmoresalt posted here somewhere (I have it linked at Thingverse)
    https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4684761

I might try taking it similar to the one @Explorer did for his Trigger 6-Shooter (goes in the same spot)… do some sort of combination of the two designs maybe.

I just checked the link that you posted and it seems like sparks has a set in stock now. Do you know if what they are selling is an OEM painted set or color matched by sparks?

What they are currently selling? Not sure - read the fine print on their site. But chances are high they are selling white ones that they send to a local (to them) shop to be painted to match. That’s what mine are. I have no complaints.

Those are both pretty good ideas for an alternative to the SDHQ overhead piece that replaces the card holder - which I’m guessing isn’t an option for you since you have a moonroof. I’m torn about going overhead with mine, just because of ease of access if trying to hit a switch from the window or something. But I guess there’s the Bluetooth option, which kind of eliminates that need… thanks, that gives me some ideas.

Yeah, between moonroof buttons and the SOS button, the SDHQ overhead one is out. I figured if I need to reach something from outside the truck, there’s a good chance Bluetooth will work just fine.

I also thought about doing something off of a Rago dash plate, but I like the overhead idea.
