Carwash snapped off my 2015 Tundra antenna at the post. Had to replace the entire antenna assembly. The problem. The new assembly has a male post and the antenna has a male post. (The original assembly had a female connection.) I tried a shorter antenna which had a female connection, but the reception was terrible. Can't find a long antenna with a female connection. Any advice?

Will the male connection on the antenna receiver unscrew?

Nope. My hunch is the mechanic may have ordered the wrong part.

Problem solved. The post on the antenna assembly was removable, making it female.
    Thanks for the assistance.
