OK, so i have yet to understand how to get the audio system to recognize my older iPod. I assume I need to disable CarPlay...?

    Anyone have advise?

    Does your iPod support carplay?

So I wanted to bump this thread to see if there are any other thoughts out there.

I realize that most are using Carplay with their phones (iPhone/Android) for music, podcasts etc. and while I do use my phone for some of that, I have an iPod nano that has a significant chunk of music on it that I would like to be able to connect to my 2023 (picking up this weekend).

    Can it be done?

So there are a couple usb connections you can use but I think the one on the dash is the only one that does a data connection, The ones inside the center console are for charging only. Try the one on the dash.

Hopefully you can get it to work. I read the manual and still couldn't get mine to work using the dash USB. Lots of music on it I would like to hear.

Did that work? Following - I have an old ipod Classic 80GB with a ton of music on it, that I'd like to listen to while in the truck on long rides.

Read up on this in the multimedia manual - pages 34 and 165 cover it. - looks like it might work via that usb data port just below the lower right side of the screen - I'll have to play with it tomorrow.

I tried to get it to work with my 80GB ipod classic and it doesn't see it. :( I went into music sources and then into settings to see if I could find it there - nope :( ) Let us know if anyone gets this working, and how they did it.

Looks like I'm going to look into using a thumb drive maybe, see if that works. I'll have to play with it.

Still no luck - all the docs say that it should read the iPod and it should show up as an option.

Might be the version/software version of the iPod. A previous BMW I owned wouldn't read ipod versions prior to version 4 when I hooked it up and wound up buying a newer version and worked fine. At some point an iPod software version isn't updated anymore as tech moves forward. Can't say I've tried it with the tundy, but I'm curious now.
