I have a new 24' limited TRD OR package. While on my morning commute to and from the fire station, my carplay disconnects in the same spot where two highways converge. It usually reconnects on it's own once I make it about a half mile down the road. What would possibly be causing my bluetooth connection to be disrupted in the same spot? I find this extremely odd. Thank you anybody that might some insight for me.

I have a similar issue when I go over a certain bridge. I believe the carplay connection is through WiFi, not bluetooth. For my issue, i usually just chalk it up to some sort of radio waves interfering with the WiFi. Could be the same for you....

Samesies, I asked the dealership about they “updated it” but it still does it. It doesn’t happen on Bluetooth though. Mine happens to be near a hospital with a helipad I too chalk it up to some RF interference.

lol, my carplay also gets all messed up at a very specific stretch of highway near downtown Seattle. Happens every single time in the exact same section of road.

I imagine it's just some weird phenomenon where a bunch of signals in the air coincidentally converge and all mess with each other.

Similar problem here with Wireless Android Auto. Very annoying since it's near my house.

Its not unusual. I've found it on several cars I've rented as well. My suspicions range from being close to transmitters, especially Police Depts to the massive mix of updates that Apple and Android do plus any updates Toyota might send out OTA

Look for a nearby cell tower. There is one at a drive thru I go for coffee and basically everything WIFI/Bluetooth disconnects every time.

Theres a spot on I5 down south in Wa state that every time I go though it for the past 15 years, everything and everything disconnects. I just assume its some kind of hard core police related high energy technology. Its just a few miles from the ORegon boarder and litterally next to a major federal installation (dept of energy / BPA). Maybe a hard radar watching I5. For example, multiple cars that I have owned with adaptive cruise freak out... full dash warnings and everything, every time... independent of maker (well, Toyota / Acura / Lexus / Honda models).

WiFi's band can easily be stepped on. In the early days, microwaves and cordless phones would kill it. Much better now. I don't think Bluetooth has the bandwidth, so it uses WiFi for wireless. I think the only option would be a real wire.

Aliens is the other obvious answer from above post.
