    Hi All,

I am trying to add a fuse tap to my cargo lamp circuit inside the cab of my 07 DC so that when my cargo light is on, my rock lights are also on. For some reason when i add a circuit there must be a low voltage that triggers the relay to fire the rock lights so as a result the rock lights are always on.

Has anyone else had this experience? Will I need to wire the relay trigger wire into one of the cargo lamp power wires?

Yep, that’s what I’m doing. The trigger wire runs from the fuse tap to the relay to power the rock lights.

The problem I’m having is that the rock lights are always on regardless of the cargo light status, which means there must be a low voltage running through the cargo lamp circuit continuously. If I unplug the fuse tap, the rock lights obviously go out.

Ah, I see. That's what I was thinking last night. I have a trigger wire through the firewall from the original plan. Should I try to find the cargo light wire circuit inside the cab?

Sweet. I did a bit of research to find the wire color and I'll give it a go tapping into it tonight.
