Cargo Box On Bed Rack?

Searched for this with no luck.

Anyone running a cargo box on top for any of the bed racks that are not a round tube? Been looking at a bed rack to go over my Softopper but they are all square components (Datin, Voodoo, etc.). Curious if anyone has pictures of how they attached to the rack. This is a 16cf Yakima cargo box.

 

We just bolt that stuff directly to the bars.

 

I thought about that but I want to retain the ability to swap to my wife’s car when needed. However, thinking about her roof rails (stock Subaru roof rack) the clamps on the box might work with the cross section of the roof racks.

Chad - what are the dimensions of the cross bars of your rack line? Is it possible to add to cross bars between the bars that run from front to back?

 

They are 1.5" high x 3" wide

We don't sell anything like that, but they could certainly be whipped up pretty easy.

I took off my RTT and mounted this Jegs cargo box for a recent trip. Worked fine.
