Hey I wanna double check something the Car Toys installer told me. Just had them install the Kenwood DMX907s CarPlay HU and the first thing I noticed was the fade front to rear doesn’t work. Everything is on the front channel. I asked about it and the installer said it’s because the JBL Amp only has one input and the only solution would be to upgrade the amp. Then he started using a ton of technical terms I couldn’t understand to explain why the fade doesn’t work with the JBL system. Is he BS’ing me? Should I be able to fade front to rear? I also noticed that it doesn’t auto dim when the headlights come on like the factory HU did. There’s a dimmer sync setting on the KW HU but it doesn’t do anything. I can’t find anything online about these issues. Should I take it back to Car Toys to figure out?
