Hey Guys - I know wheels and tires have been discussed to death on this forum and there is plenty of information available already. I have a few questions on the basis of my research, hoping to get some suggestions.

Background - I have stock wheels now and looking to go with 18" wheels with 33" tires. I want to downsize primarily to have a bit of off-road capability ( Have to hit gravel roads once or twice a month).

    Now, questions -

    1. Tire Size -- I have no lift, current tires are about 32.5". I am looking to go for 275x70R18 ( Should roughly come to 33.3" with tires). I was under impression that I shouldn't face much issues but Tire rack suggests it would be -- "Aggressive fitment. Vehicle should have lift kit or fender modifications for proper clearance".
My new wheels would have 0 or -12 offset ( as opposed to +60 for Capstone).
Do you guys think - I would need any fender modification ?

    2. Wheels - I am looking at Method , Black Rhino or Enkei wheels. I know there are lot of fans of Method Here - does anyone have any experience with Enkei ?

    3. Tires
    - Does A/T tires are significantly noisy than the stock ones ?
    - Stock tires are rated H but replacements I can only see S. While I am sure its not a big deal, but doesnt hurt to check.

Thanks in advance for sharing your suggestions

    Lots of stuff!
You shouldn't have any issues with the tire size but the challenge will be the offset. Going to a "0" offset will push the wheel outward by almost 2.5" and this could rub on the mudflaps or the fender liner.

I looked at the Enkei wheels and almost got them but then I found the Fast wheels and the price was better considering the ones I got are flow formed.

My offset is +15 and have a 295/60/20 Toyo tire and I get some rubbing of the liner, I took my front mud flaps off as well. I also have a 1.75" levelling kit.

Offset is going to be the biggest issue. Try to get closer to the OE +60 to avoid any rubbing.

Thanks - this is exactly what I was looking for. My local garage recommended AT3 as well - looks like I would be going for them.

For the wheels - I am really tempted to go with Enkei, getting one that was made in Japan - so should be higher quality, but it is 0 offset.
Let me look at options in +ve , from what I remember Method 317 and Black Rhino Chambers have positive offsets.

Method MR318 and MR319 can be had in 18x8.5 with +40mm offset, OZ Rally Raids can be had in 18x8.5 with +47mm offset.

I think you’ll regret going 33’s. You can go bigger with the correct offset.

Yep. I stuck my tire and wheel package on the scale before mounting them and what do you know.. they are just under 110 lbs a piece! Factory 20" TRD Off-Road wheels paired with 286/65R20 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T. They've been a great tire so far, but very aggressive for an "all terrain" and heavy considering they only come in E or F ratings. Most all tires in this size range will be E load range and up.

Thanks for the pointer - I checked out raids and like them too but since they are 8.5 - their recommended tyre size is about 265/70-18 ( slightly less than 275x70R18)

I thought about it but dont want to go down the rabbit hole of wanting a lift. I cant afford a proper lift kit right now and dont want to get the spacers for now. My earlier 2 vehicles I thought will keep for 5+ years, but ended up trading them within 10-12 months.

So, after some back and forth - I have shortlisted -

    - ALPHAEQUIPT GRENADE ( +25 Offset)
I was trying to look up some reviews on these, but couldn't find much. So looking for any pointers / experiences

    - Method 317 (+18)
    - Fuel Off Road Ammo ( +20)

OZ Racing bronze is good too and has the best offset, but is only available in 18x8.5 , while all of above are 18x9.

Interesting Fact - I checked the owners manuals of 22 / 23 & 24 -- All of them have the details on all variants of 18 & 20 inch wheels but no mention of 22.
