2023 Limited Crewmax. My rear view mirror is not a mirror, but a screen. The camera is mounted high on the rear of the truck cab. Went to the LEER dealer today to order a cap, and they have no cap with a camera to replace this rear view camera. He is going to do some digging with LEER. I can't be the first person to run into this. Is there an aftermarket camera that can be mounted to replace this rear-view cam? I really need a cap. What Borla said search is your friend. Are you saying the capstone doesn't have the little lever to flip the mirror to ....well a mirror?(looks just like the switch on regular mirrors for when you're blinded from behind) I have a platinum and I flip the little switch and it goes from mirror to screen guess thats one feature you get with a capstone that you can't have a regular mirror!!!! Do you have a picture of the mirror so we can see the missing switch to flip it back and forth?

Did you use the interior mount for the back of the cap for cameras? I put very dark tint on my Leer and would like to drill through the cap to mount the camera with exterior view. I don't think I can center it on the cap though due to the break light. Anyone install like I'm describing? @GG.Offroad

I’m using a suction cup mount for the rear view mirror and an arm mount for the bed cam. I’d be worried about sealing it off after drilling through, but that would be the best set up

    Hi Dexter L -
I bought the kit - looks like a nice item. Do you mind sharing any pics of yours installed, and the camera views? I hate the idea of starting to fool with this stuff, but ive always ran a cap, and havent been able to pull the trigger on a tonneau with racks. Would love to see how yours turned out....

New to the forum-- I have a 2023 Tundra and purchased the Leer cap-- I bought the harnesses from GGOffroad--- they work great. I took it to the next level and bought a cheaper version of the 3rd brake light assembly from Toyota (the one without the cameras) - put that on the cab of the truck then moved the original one with the cameras to the Leer cap-- It did take a lot of modification-- like cutting a hole in the cap and adding epoxy or bondo to the fixture to make the angles right. But it looks great and with the harnesses from GGoffroad -- everything is working. see pics

Fantastic modification! Really nice work. Hard for me to stomach on an 75k truck, and way above my pay grade. I opted for a retractable tonneau with t tracks, and an elevate rack. Rack and cap not yet installed in photo, but first time without a topper in a decade. Figured if Im really disappointed I can sell the gear for a marginal hit and cut my losses to switch to a cap at some point. Also maybe on of the manufacturers may solve for it. I did buy the relocation kit to have on hand- appears high quality.

    Great work!

I wish someone,... GGOFFROAD cough cough would also have an exterior mount that we can slap on top of the camper and adjust angle of the cameras :spending:

I did finally decide to contract a CAD guy to design an exterior mount for us. So this is actually coming soon I promise!

I absolutely hate the camera rear view mirror. I just flip it down to a regular rear view mirror. I think it's easier for the eyes to adjust back and forth.
