Can't get my "voice" to read from my contacts list

Strange problem today. Had to remove and reinstall my Android phone (from the Multimedia System) due to another issue. I have followed the procedure multiple times and while the phone reconnects for audio, and the contact list is transferred to the system, when I press "Voice" and ask it to, for instance, Call Home, it says it can't find Home on my contacts list. This same issue occurs no matter what contact I ask it to call.

I have tried deleting and reinstalling both with the phone and the system multiple times with no joy.

Any ideas?

It might help if you provide the year and model of your truck. Has there been any modifications to the system? Or is it stock? Are you the original owner?

Mine is a 2015, but I’ve had some similar problems. Have you tried disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes to cause a hard “re-boot” of the truck?
Hopefully someone with better tech skills will chime in.

 

Does this also happen when you use android auto or have you not set up android auto?
