Anyone here familar with Ojibway Provincial Park in NW Ontario? Trailer access needed, 17' hybrid.

We are looking for a park to visit from Winnipeg, futher then our normal Blue Lake and Rushing River (which book up fast) as they have limited water and secluded spots and gets rowdy on the weekends.

Quetico looks nice and defintely withing driving distance from Winnipeg. It appears they have some decent Water spots available. I'll look into that one a bit more.

As for MN, I used to as a teen/young adule with my brother, tenting and MTBing. With 2 kids, passports (they lapsed during covid), health insurance and a dog, we generally try to stick to Canda for now. But it will be an option in the future. We used to tent up and down the Lake Superior coast and Little Marais, Grand Marais, Duluth etc.

I'm starting to reasearch those, as our little hybrid can carry water, has a propane fridge and has a black water tank (I'd pee outside, as would the boys). We can easily do a week of basic or longer if we took a second battery (which I always carry the old one), then we would do 2 weeks.

We often camp "Basic". The less people the better for me, as long as I have access to decent water for the canoe/paddle board/kayaks and some hiking trails for us and the doggo.

It's a gorgeous area. The provincial campgrounds can get rowdy on the weekends, but during the week it's pretty quiet.

There seems to be no mosquitos when we hit the Ontario/Manitoba border too, so that's a plus.

I don't even think they let us into our storage lot until May at the earliest.

RV storage is my dream job. There is a fella just outside the city with what looks like at least 1000 units on his property. hang out with the dog and watch the $$ roll in.
Our lil camper squeeks into our fenced yard which I am very thankfull for. Good reason to never never buy a bigger trailer.

My trailer is in one of those places in Calgary. The guy has something like 1300 spots and a waiting list. $60-100 a spot for newcomers depending on size. Talk about a perfect business. If he only had water on the land he could add a self serve car wash and bring in an additional $100k a month.

Ours recently added a dump station and a hose with non potable water. $500 a year for a spot, though.

Someone lives there full time in a park model but their job must just be security because management is very strict about how no one is supposed to bother them.

I would LOVE to have indoor storage considering the hailstorms we get here in Southern Alberta. But I guess that is what insurance is for!

    Wow, that sounds amazing!

For outside? that's a deal, I paid $1000 for 6 months indoor heated storage, then it's $100/month for outdoor but gated during in-use season, I think can make banks if you have a dump station.

For fellow Canucks, I'm going to have quite few things for sale soon, all gen 2 stuff, Fox 2.5 dsc, coachbuilder shackles, I prefer ship within Canada so if you are looking for suspension goodies, let me know.
