Can I run a smaller tire on my wheels?

    I just bought some Method 706 wheels. They are an 18x9 wheel. I can't seem to find information about running a smaller tire than stock size. I was looking at getting 265/70/18. I know that 275/65/18 is standard size. Will these fit or do I need the wider standard tire? I looked at so many different sites and I still feel confused because I only see people running the biggest tires they can find.

    Those tires you listed are almost the same. The 275 width will look better imo. They look fine on an 18x9 wheel at stock height

    So they will fit properly? That's my question. I found a really good deal on the smaller width tire.

    Look at the tire manufacturers specs on their website or at a retailer. They list an approved rim width as below…

    yes 275/65 are just fine on 9 inch wheel i ran that combo for a few years. Looks good imo
