MY 2023 Limited with Trd OR did not come with the front auto spoiler and I want to know if any has added it. I believe it will require the need to program it into the computer and find out how that gets done.

I have one if you need it. Happy to part with it under msrp. You should probably make sure you at least have the harness wired for it however first

As to why... I have seen multiple test performed that show a significant increase in highway mpg (3+ mpg) and I probably will never use this offroad anyway.
Ghunter321, your right, before I jump and buy something, I want to know the ins and outs of doing it.

I would be absolutely flabbergasted if that spoiler made .2 MPG while driving 70 MPH......

The old 5.7/6-Speed is within 3 MPG of the new model. So all they had to do is put a spoiler/air dam in the old model and it would net the same mileage as the new model while still retaining the sought after v8 and reliability that comes with it?

I would like to see what it takes to add one and how expensive it is just for the hell of it. I imagine all trucks are pre wired and there is a harness for it somewhere on the front of the truck.

spoiler is only needed at an oem scale for cafe standards. gotta remember .1 or .2 mpg across 70-100k vehicles makes a difference for oem purposes only.

I am replying now because I searched out all through the internet where I thought. I saw the video on testing the to spoiler. I in fact could not find it for the Toyota. But there was a video on a Dodge where they had said to have gained 3 plus miles per gallon in a test that is absolutely of no value. I was looking for a long time for replacing my crushed Silverado crushed by a tree falling on it in December. I was looking at. Dodge or Toyota and. Toyota came out way on top , I found to many problems with Dodge. I finally decided that most everybody that commented was correct and coincides with all the data that I read about Tundra.
Therefore, I thank everyone for your input.

Are you 100% positive your truck doesn’t have it? I didn’t think my 22 Limited w/ TRD OR had it as well. However, when I did my first oil change, I had to drop the spoiler(hold wash lever up, once you turn off truck) to access and remove the skid plate bolts.

Yes, I thought the Limited TRD OR did have the active air dam but the SR5 TRD OR did not.

This is the only correct statement here. Regardless of what people claim, lip spoilers on trucks and SUV’s serve the manufacturers in CAFE standards, which are different than the EPA estimates you see in window stickers.

Manufacturers will spend millions for those tenths of a MPG improvement. If you spend a couple hundred bucks getting one, it’s possible that you won’t recoup the cost over the duration of ownership.

The justification for the air dam is that it pushes the air that would otherwise be directly below the truck to the side to avoid the turbulence that you get on the bottom of the truck, due to the uneven surfaces. However, if you have the TRD skid and a CAT plate would an air dam make much of a difference? Probably not.

    Lots of stuff!
Why not just take one off an F150 and bolt it on. It wouldn’t be retractable but if you are off roading, you could just remove it. And bonus, no need to figure out the electrics!

I was looking at a buddy’s Eco boost the other day and it bolts on.

I didn’t get a spoiler as the CDN TRD Offroad option deletes the spoiler.

I did install skid plates so maybe those will make up for the missing spoiler. ;)

This is a good point. In the drag equation, velocity is squared so slowing down 10% results in almost a 20% reduction in drag

All of these thoughts and remarks are convincing me to give up on the idea of adding that spoiler, it's becoming quite evident it's probably not worth the cost and effort to do so.

Would the fixed front spoiler from the ‘23 Sequoia bolt onto the Tundra?
