Getting a custom pack built by Deaver and they need to know how much extra weight (obviously).

Has anyone ever weighed out their gear? Or post what gear you do take?

Hoping this can help others as they calculate what weight capabilities they need when they upgrade their leafs.

    For me it starts with:

    Fuel - 6 Gallons: 50lbs
    Water - 5 Gallons: 40lbs
Kitchen - (black stone griddle, pots, pans, cooking gear): 40 lbs
    Spare 35”: 100lbs
    Floor Jack: 30 lbs
    Driveshaft: 20 lbs
    Tools: 50lbs
Spare parts (inner/outer tie rod, lower BJ, oil, PS fluid, trans Fluid, starter, alternator): 50 lbs
Camping gear (bag, tent, chairs): 30 lbs.
    Firewood: 30lbs.

    total: 440lbs (Holy Cow!)

What do you think I am missing? Am I crazy to carry all those extra parts? Weight assumptions off?

Curious to hear what other carry!

Go to a CAT Truck Scale unloaded and get weighed. Come back with all your stuff in the truck and get weighed again.
