(Posted this in the 2.5gen forum as well.) I’m in the market for a camper shell for my 2017 double cab and have not been able to find a used one at all. At least one made specifically for my truck, and I’m not gonna pay the $3400 I got quoted for a new one. My question is will other tops made for a 6.5’ bed fit? I’ve joined a bunch of camper shell groups on Facebook selling them and I keep getting guys messaging me saying “this one will fit perfect, it’s for a 6.5’ bed” has anyone else here bought one not specifically for your truck? I’ve been looking for 3-4 months and about ready to take a chance.

FB marketplace. Yes you will find one. May have to drive a little, but yes. I have A 2020 dc silver sky, found one an hour and half away. Good shape, 1500$. That's about the going rate it seems.

I live in MD and found 2 within a few weeks. Got the closer one.

also- 2nd gen will not fit correctly. You can make it work, but won't be right. Just be patient.
