Camper shell fitment questions

So I’m in the market for a camper shell for my 2017 double cab and have not been able to find a used one at all. At least one made specifically for my truck, and I’m not gonna pay the $3400 I got quoted for a new one. My question is will other tops made for a 6.5’ bed fit? I’ve joined a bunch of camper shell groups on Facebook selling them and I keep getting guys messaging me saying “this one will fit perfect, it’s for a 6.5’ bed” has anyone else here bought one not specifically for your truck? I’ve been looking for 3-4 months and about ready to take a chance.
