Hi I’m new on the forum and I have some questions regarding the clean the calipers on 17 inches wheels. I have try to install a new set of wheels and tires but I’m scared to drive it knowing that the clear is not the best. Any input will be appreciated

As long as they clear the brake calipers you'll be fine, none of that moves during operation. Just make sure the place that balances your tires knows to position the wheel weights away from the brake caliper.

I disagree with "If it fits".

Something to think about if you spend any time off pavement at all. The less room there is between the caliper and the inside edge of the wheel, the more apt you are to capturing a rock between the two. The right rock, in the right place, will jam in and begin to grind through the wheel and cause failure.

Yes I have seen it. The first time, I chalked it up to a one-off coincidence. The second time not so much.

I think op is running those 4Runner wheels and he’s got less than the thickness of an iPhone clearance

You need to have the sticker weights inside the wheel placed so it clears, here’s a pic I took of some 17s on a tundra at the dealer. I don’t think this is a good placement but it works.

True facts. My old truck I had the wheels balanced then drove out of the lot and whacked every weight off
