Hey there, I recently changed calipers, rotors, and pads on my 2008 Tundra. My driver rear caliper bracket is grinding the rotor. I was convinced that it was a manufacturing defect on the bracket, so I took it back and did the job again. The problem is that it's still doing it. I think for a manufacturing defect to happen twice is unlikely. I never had this problem before. Although, before all that I would change were rotors and pads. This is the first time I have changed the calipers. Everything is torque to the proper specs with the bracket torque to 46 ft-lb and the guides pins to 20 ft-lb. Also, I put two lug nuts to ensure the rotor sits flush, so I know that is not the issue. I'm currently drawing a blank and don't know what to do. I would try to put on my old caliper, but that has already been sent back for the core.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Do you still have any of the old rotors around to match up with the new ones you bought?, just a thought since it just seems to be on one side.

Yes, I went ahead and put the old rotor on so the new rotor won't keep getting damaged. The grinding is still happening with the old rotors.

Very strange indeed. :monocle: What I would do if it were mine would be to remove both rear brackets, and take some measurements to make sure they are both completely identical.

I thought the same thing and measure the inside of the bracket. Both came to approximately 7/8".

Another setback, but I'm sure we can figure this out in the end. What about where the bracket attaches to the back of the hub, does it measure the same?

Maybe bad wheel bearing? Allowing movement/slop in the hub.

    Update
So yesterday, I finally had some time to take another look at it. I took the axle out and tried to repress the seals and bearings. It helped a tiny bit, so I have another bearing on the way to try that. I guess ill see what happens with the new bearing.
